Pakistan was ranked the world’s most polluted country in 2025, according to a report by IQAir. The study found that fine particulate matter (PM2.5) levels in Pakistan’s air reached up to 13 times higher than WHO guidelines.
The country recorded an average PM2.5 concentration of 67.3 micrograms per cubic meter, highlighting severe air quality concerns.
The report analyzed data from thousands of cities worldwide, with pollution driven by factors such as smog, crop burning, and vehicle emissions.
