Türkiye is reportedly in advanced talks to become part of the strategic defence agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with negotiations expected to culminate in a formal deal, according to Bloomberg sources familiar with the discussions.

The Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA) between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia considers any att_ack on one country as an attack on both.

Bloomberg noted that Türkiye’s possible inclusion could lead to a new security framework that may significantly alter the balance of power in the Middle East and beyond.
