The National Database and Registration Authority has introduced a temporary facility allowing citizens without birth certificates to obtain national identity cards.

The decision was approved by the Authority Board under the NADRA Ordinance on the directive of the Interior Minister. The facility is available for first-time applicants until December 31, 2026.

Applicants must meet specific verification requirements. Married women must provide a marriage certificate and biometric verification of family members, while men aged 24 or above must submit parent and sibling identification details.

First-time applicants will receive a free non-smart ID card. Citizens are advised to provide accurate information during registration.
