Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, proposed establishing a direct land trade route from Pakistan to Tajikistan through Gilgit to strengthen economic ties.
The idea was discussed during a meeting with Tajik Ambassador Sharifzoda Yusuf Toir, focusing on regional connectivity, trade cooperation, and infrastructure development.
Both leaders highlighted the importance of modernizing trade routes, offering concessional tar!ffs, and improving transport links to boost bilateral trade.
The corridor aims to enhance economic activity, support regional prosperity, and strengthen Pak-Tajik relations. The minister also accepted an invitation to visit Tajikistan to finalize cooperation plans.
