Abdul Haq al-Halabi, a 60-year-old Syrian muezzin, passed away in July 2017 at Masjid Al-Sulaimani in Jeddah.

He di_ed while sitting and reciting the Holy Quran, just minutes before calling the Fajr prayer.

Originally from Syria, he had lived in Saudi Arabia for around 40 years and was known in the local community for his devotion and regular Quran recitation.

In the last three years of his life, he dedicated himself fully to serving the mosque and its worshippers.
